I HATE YOU, STRESS

17:19

As it is the beginning of the exams at school, the stress is back again. Two weeks ago, we had an important jury for our final project. That jury was only counting for 25% of the total points we get at the end of the school year. For this project we had to work in groups of two. We had to come up with a concept for a library in an existing church in Kortrijk (Belgium). This is only the first part of the assignment. The second part is also a library. This time we had to again start with an existing building and come up with a totally new interior for a library for children. The jury for this part is only in ten days! You would think we would have time enough to make a 3D, all the construction plans etc. But this Wednesday we have another jury for a course called furniture design

Again, this assignment was in a group of two. My partner and I made a lounge chair out of rusted rebar as a frame.

For the seating and the back of the chair, we came up with a pattern that we created with cotton rope. Our chair isn't finished at all and because of that, my stress levels are raising! I always try to be ready three days in advance but this time we had a lot of problems because the frame was bending when pressure was added on the rope. So because of that we had to go back to the joiner to add some rebar in some places.

We still have to make some pictures of the finished chair for our presentation for the jury and the plans of the chair are also not finished yet. Can you imagine how stressful all of this is? Those two projects together... If you have any tips on how to handle the stress or how to stay calm, please let me know. I could use some relaxation tips. Also leave a comment on how you are doing. Do you have exams and how do you handle all of this? I'll be updating you on how our chair looks in the end and how our jury went.
